Why Divine Mercy Requires Human Movement
Many people feel trapped by their past. Their sins feel too big, their hearts too heavy, and their connection with God seems too broken to fix. In that hopelessness, they stop trying. They say: “What’s the point? I’m too far gone.”
But this is one of the most dangerous deceptions. Because the truth is clear:
Your sin is never greater than God’s mercy. But God’s guidance is not given to those who don’t seek it.
Allah’s mercy is vast. It surrounds everything. Yet guidance is not automatic — it is a gift that requires effort. It doesn’t land on those who are idle. It comes to those who, despite their pain, take one step toward the truth.
And this rule applies not only to belief in God — but also to the most awaited divine guide of our time: Imam al-Mahdi (AS).

Mercy Is for All. But Guidance Is for Those Who Move.
In the Qur’an, Allah says:
“Indeed, Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves.”
~Qur’an – 13:11
He does not say He won’t forgive them. He says He won’t guide or uplift them until they decide to rise.
This is a key principle in divine justice:
- Mercy is always open — available to anyone who turns.
- Guidance is an expensive gift — and it’s only given to those who show they want it.
Allah is not stingy. But He is wise. He doesn’t throw pearls into hands that remain closed.
If You Want Guidance, You Must Begin the Journey
Sometimes people say, “Why isn’t God guiding me?” Yet they don’t:
- Pray with sincerity
- Ask questions with humility
- Repent or reflect on their actions
- Read the Qur’an or search for truth
Guidance is not given without movement. It requires a spark — an intention, a question, a tear, a whisper in the night:
“Ya Allah, I want to come back. Help me.”
“I want to know the truth. Show me the way.”
“I want to find my Imam. Let me feel his light.”
Without that, the heart stays locked — not by God’s command, but by the person’s own choice.
Even Imam Mahdi (AS) Cannot Be Found Without Effort
Many claim they love Imam Mahdi. They say they await him. But are they really waiting? Or are they just passively watching the world burn?
The Hadith of the Prophet (PBUH) is clear:
“The one who dies without recognizing the Imam of their time, dies the death of ignorance.”
To know the Imam — to even feel his presence in your life — you must care. You must:
- Purify your heart from arrogance
- Seek justice, truth, and sincerity
- Be ready to be corrected
- Detach from materialism
- Make duʿā’, read, reflect, and pray
Imam Mahdi is not hidden because God is cruel — he is hidden because the world has turned away. And he will not reveal himself to those who never asked for him, never cried for him, never cared to clean their hearts.
It All Starts With One Step
You don’t need to be perfect to begin. You just need to want guidance more than comfort.
Take one step:
- Ask for forgiveness
- Speak to Allah from your heart
- Read one verse of the Qur’an with sincerity
- Call out: “Ya Mahdi, I want to know you. Help me change.”
That single step can ignite a flood of mercy and light.
God doesn’t expect you to fix everything alone — but He waits to see if you care enough to begin.
Guidance Is the Most Valuable Gift — It Is Never Forced
Guidance is not free in the way rain falls on everyone. It’s earned by those who show desire. That’s why some people live their whole lives and never feel close to God or His Proof — because they never truly asked.
Allah is not looking for perfection — He’s looking for sincerity.
“One who walks toward Me, I run toward them.”
~Hadith Qudsi
A Final Word: Do You Really Want It?
You may have sinned. You may feel far. But remember:
- No one is too broken for God’s mercy.
- But no one is guided without wanting it.
So before asking why you’re not feeling Allah’s presence, or the Imam’s nearness — ask yourself:
“Have I truly desired it? Have I moved even one step toward the light?”
If the answer is yes — even a small step — then know this: Allah sees it. Imam Mahdi feels it. And your journey has already begun.
